A BILL

Amend the Public Order Ordinance.

To

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and

consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. Short title and commencement

(1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Public Order (Amendment)

Ordinance 1991.

(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be

appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Long title amended

The long title to the Public Order Ordinance (Cap. 245) is

amended by adding "processions," after "meetings,".

Interpretation

Section 2 is amended

-

(a) by repealing the definition of "political

organization";

(b) in the definition of "procession" by adding " and

includes any meeting held in conjunction with such

procession" after "purpose".

Section 4 is repealed.
