Thank you for your letter of 15 July to Jonathan Marshall asking whether the above report has been submitted to the United Nations.

2. I have spoken to Human Rights Policy Department. Unfortunately the report has not yet been submitted. The problem is that all the Dependent Territory reports have to be submitted together, and although they have all the necessary information from Hong Kong, they are still waiting for papers from other Dependent Territories. However, HRPD hope to submit the report within the next month and will send you a copy of the final version as soon as this has been done.
