We have not consulted anyone formally but have been keeping in touch with the Legislative Council Constitutional Development Panel and HKJA.

PUBLIC REACTION

We do not expect the public to take an active interest but HKJA and others including some Legislative Council Members would welcome some of the decisions. They would, however, criticise Government for not going far enough and would continue to press for an FOI Ordinance.

PUBLICITY

A press release will be issued on the same day to announce the Council's decisions. A spokesman will handle media enquiries. We will brief HKJA and the Legislative Council Panel. As and when individual items are ready for implementation, separate publicity will be arranged. A Legislative Council Brief will be issued.
