I received further updates from Robin Munro of
He said that Kan
was not planning anything radical against the Chinese revocation of his passport. Han would quietly take up his case with some pro-China figures, in the hope that these people stood a better chance of effecting a change to the Chinese decision. Encouragingly quite a number of prominent pro-China figures including Liu Yiuchu (NPC delegate), Xu Ximin (CPPCC delegate), Tam waichu (HK Affairs Adviser) and Tsang Yoksing (DAB Chairman) have expressed misgivings about the latest Chinese decision. the meantime Han would investigate the possibility of seeking legal remedies under China's own Administrative Law Han had no plan of Challenges against Executive Decisions.

In
Munro furthered that he understood from a Hong Kong reporter in Peking that the Ministry of Public Security might make a statement today which would spell out specific provisions of the Chinese law which Han had violated whilst he was overseas. But this statement was unlikely to contain specific references to the Chinese law under which Han's passport was revoked.
