FACT FINDING INVESTIGATION INTO SHOOTING DOWN OF KOREAN AIRLINES BOEING 747 (FLIGHT KE 007) ON 31 AUGUST 1983
Though I remained here yesterday evening to produce the text of the telegram we agreed I should send at the conclusion of the day's proceedings, telegrams from here have to be sent by faxing the text to the High Commission in Ottawa for them to feed into the system, and due to an omission on my part though I faxed it, I did not telephone BHC to warn it was coming - last night's missive languished. It is going out on the 1400 schedule today (local). Meanwhile, you may care to have the text direct, now. I am also faxing a copy to Rod Balme, now.
