Thank you for your letter of 6 August. in preparing the Annex to my earlier letter was indeed to ensure that you,
We and the US could agree in advance of the talks on the identity of the outstanding issues. Although it is not clear from your letter, I assume that it is ROY Griffins who will be asked to pass the Annex to the Americans once you have cross-checked it against your own records. Perhaps he could also confirm that the US side have all the necessary documents on diskette.
If talks are held on Los Angeles User Charges in the morning of 20 September, we would prefer to absent ourselves from those. We will plan to meet you, as a briefing on ASA separation in the start on the talks on
