HONG KONG/AUSTRALIA AIR SERVICE AGREEMENT: SPECIFIC AUTHORISATION

The

1. Following Chinese agreement at JLG XXVT, Hong Kong wishes to sign its Air Service Agreement (ASA) with Australia. Governor requires a specific authorisation from the Secretary of State to do so.

Recommendation

2. That the Secretary of State should send the Governor a despatch constituting the necessary authority. I submit a draft which follows earlier precedents. Our departmental legal adviser and AMD concur.
