REGISTRATION OF ASAS WITH THE UN

1.

Thank you for your fax of 22 April on the above subject.

2. The Hong Kong/Switzerland ASA has been registered with the UN Treaty Section. As you know, the documents were handed over on 9 March 1993. The Hong Kong/Sri Lanka ASA was sent to UKMIS New York for forwarding to the UN under cover of my letter of 2 April 1993. I should be grateful if UKMIS New York would confirm the date of registration.

3. We have still not received the UN Registration Certificates for the Malaysia and New Zealand ASAS with Hong Kong. We received a third person note from the UN on 8 November 1991, which said that the certificates would be forthcoming. As far as we are aware this has not happened. would be grateful if Mr wood could investigate this with the UN Treaty Section.
