5. REVIEW OF AVAILABLE INFORMATION
In order to achieve optimum use of available resources and manpower it is essential to pool all available information and avoid duplication of efforts. In the past several institutions in the Hong Kong area have conducted investigations on the natural radiation environment (NRE) in general, and on radon in particular, as there are:
Hong Kong Polytechnic (P), Department of Applied Physics, Kowloon
City Polytechnic of Hong Kong (C), Department of Applied Science, Kowloon
University of Hong Kong (U), Radioisotope Division, Hong Kong
Environmental Protection Department (EPD), Hong Kong
Royal Observatory (R), Hong Kong
