The Protocol

The Hague Protocol (text at Annex_C) was signed on 28 September 1955 and entered into force on 1 August 1963.
The UK ratified the Pratbool on 3 March 1967 and HK was
included in the UK's ratification (reference at Annex D).

The Hague Protocel amends certain provisions of the Warsaw Convention by int@oducing the following changes:
(a)
modernization and simplification of the rules relating tak the documents of carriage
(Articles 3-6)
(b) increase
respect to
liability with
the limit of
"persons" to 250,000
francs
(Article 11)
(c) revision of
misconduct"
(d)
provision concerning "wilful
that the limits of liability
with respect to acts or
with intent to cause damage or
with knowledge that damage
shall not
omissions dok
recklessly would probably result (Article 13);
application
servant or the scope of
the limits of liability to a
