Amendments to the 1956 Act
(s. 4A]

In the proviso to section 2(3) (copyright in literary,
dramatic and musical works) the word "and" immediately
procoding paragraph (4) shall be omitted and after that
paragraph there shall be inserted the following paragraph
"(e) the inclusion of the work in a cable programme.".

In section 2(3) for paragraph (e) there shall be
substituted the following paragraph
"(@) including the work in a cable programme.".

In section 3(5) (copyright in artistic works) for
paragraph (d) there shall be substituted the following
paragraph
"(d) including the work in a cable programme."
In section 6(9) (general exceptions from protection of
literary, dramatic and musical works) for the words "caused to
be transmitted to subscribers to a diffusion service" there
shall be substituted the words "included in a cable programme".
