1. We have provisionally notified the Catering Manager of the Old Admiralty Building that 16 people will be attending this lunch. The Chinese Embassy here have expressed a wish that their 5 official representatives plus Counsellor Hu Chuanzhong and two or three more of their experts should be invited (ie 8 or 9 in total). Who would you wish to attend from the British side? (We would be happy to do the placement and finalise other arrangements if you would like; otherwise we will leave these matters in your capable hands.)

The Catering Mananger will need the placement by 3 December. Therefore I would be grateful if you could let me have your list (and ideas for placement) Deskby 030900Z.
