Tunderstand that Charles Garrett hac enheomiankily betaklished that the Locarno Room is booked for the whole of the week beginning 6 December; and that we can therefore plan on holding the JLG frum 7-9 December (which are of course the dates we have already put to Guo). I quite see that you must go firm soon. It will be up to me to ensure that Guo is there on the dates. If he has any immediate problems (rather than political ones which may emerge nearer the time), he will no doubt let us know when we dine with him next week. Meanwhile, you should certainly go ahead with
