Committee on Application of Standards

The Report of the Committee of Experts did not contain any comment or observation on Hong Kong. This meant that the Committee was satisfied with the manner in which Hong Kong discharged her obligations under the various conventions she had accepted. Hong Kong therefore was not mentioned by the Committee on Application of Standards in its deliberations.
Committee on Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents

The Committee on Prevention of Major Industrial Accidents drew up a proposed convention and a proposed recommendation on prevention of major industrial accidents. These were subsequently adopted by the General Conference. The Committee also passed a resolution to invite the International Labour Office to address the question of exposure to and use of biological agents at work.
Committee on Part-time Work

The Committee on Part-time Work proposed that the International Labour Conference should adopt standards on part-time work and that the standards should take the form of a convention supplemented by recommendation. The proposal was subsequently accepted by the General Conference. A proposed convention and a proposed recommendation will be presented to the International Labour Conference in 1994 for consideration.
Committee on Technical Co-operation
21.
The Committee on Technical Co-operation adopted a report on technical co-operation and passed a resolution to invite the International Labour Office to give due weight to the conclusions of the report in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of the ILO'S technical co-operation programme.
