1.
Every year the British Government and its non-metropolitan territories are required under Article 19 of the ILO Constitution to submit reports on the position of law and practice in respect of selected ILO Recommendations and unratified Conventions.
2. This year the ILO has requested a report on Convention No 158 (Termination of Employment) and its associated Recommendation (No 166). ́ I attach copies of these documents, and a report form which gives details of the format in which the report should be completed. I would be grateful if you could provide reports answering the questions in the report form and describing the position in respect of this Convention for the period ending 30 June 1994. Copies of any legislation mentioned in your report should be enclosed, unless they have already been sent to the ILO in connection with a previous exercise.
This Convention has not been extended to HVC
