For this purpose - and to facilitate the procedures for presenting credentials and the registration of delegates - two separate forms are attached to this letter: the usual form for credentials which governments are requested to send duly completed within the required deadline and the registration form for delegates (which delegates used to fill in after their arrival in Geneva). Governments are requested to send a copy (a photocopy, if necessary) of this form to the delegates and advisers they have appointed, so that the latter may return them to the ILO duly completed and signed.
Moreover, delegates present in Geneva during the week of the Governing Body session preceding the opening of the Conference will be able to register as from Wednesday, 26 May, at the ILO, provided that their credentials have been received by the Office.
As the time of the opening of the session has been fixed at 10 a.m., it is absolutely necessary for delegations to conform to these arrangements in order to avoid undue delay'in the issuance of their badge and any other inconvenience which may arise as a result.
Practical arrangements
I draw your attention to section I of the Memorandum, and particularly to the need to make arrangements for the accommodation of delegates well in advance, since the International Labour Office is not equipped to make such reservations.
Indications relating to receptions given during the Conference are provided in section H.
Your attention is also drawn to section J of the Memorandum concerning the regulations for the issuance of visas for France.
I would like to thank you in advance for taking any action necessary on the contents of this letter.
Yours faithfully,
Michel Hansenne
Director-General
