Furthermore, the Government of the People's Republic of China will

ensure the good and timely provision of all services, facilities and

financial resources related to the preparation and conduct of the Meetings,

to be set forth in the Memorandum on the Provision of Services and

Facilities for the 1997 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the

World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Hong Kong.

This invitation is being issued after consultation with the Government

of the United Kingdom, which, as-you know, exercises responsibility for the
