1 Adjustments of the Hontreal Protocol

2 Amendments of the Montreal Protocol

a)

Control the annual consumption of HCFCs to 100% of 1989 plus 3.1% of the calculated level of 1989 CFC consumption.

January 1996

b) Control the annual consumption of methyl

bromide to 100% of 1989 level.

January 1995

c)

Prohibit the import and export of HBFCS from and to non-parties.

January 1994

No more quota for retained import of balons will be issued after 31.12.93.

Quota for the 5 kinds of CFCs will be reduced by 75% for 1994.

Quota for retained import of 10 other CPCs for 1994 will be reduced to 25% of 1989 level.

Quota for retained import of 1,1,1-trichloroethane will be reduced by 50% in 1994.

Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance has been amended to cover carbon tetrachloride. Quota control will begin on 1.1.95.

Ro more import quota for these chemicals will be issued after 1.1.96.

Ozone Layer Protection Ordinance (OLPO) will be amended accordingly by 1996 to allow quota control to be extended to cover BCPCs.

OLPO will be arended to allow quota control to be extended to cover rethyl bromide in 1995.

OLPO will be amended to cover HBPCS in 1994 such that no import nor export licences will be issued for consignments originated from or destinated for non- parties.
