15. For all these reasons, the predominant mood in LegCo is in favour of talks, although as has been noted elsewhere, that route raises just as many, if not more, difficulties and is unlikely to lead to any solutions to our problems.
16. I should stress that the above represents my own views based on my own contacts with the community and the political forces in question. There are many here who would take a different view.
