We believe there is to be a debate noong Kong, as part of the debate that is already taking place within Hong Kong about political reform. We are told that there are more important things to talk about than women's concerns but we disagree. Some of our arguments are set out in the enclosed open letter to the Governor'. We ask you, and the British government, to encourage Mr Patten to act on behalf of women here. very important that women play their full part in the democratic process.
