Welcome the idea of a Festival of Chinese Arts in UK in
1997. Cultural links growing all the time. Success of
Liverpool's China Festival in January 1993 shows public
interest is there.
- 1997 long way off. Too early to make any concrete
preparations. First task is to get agreement on
constitutional developments in Hong Kong.
