Military Activity
(1)
Maritime
In following priority for FSU, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, former Yugoslav republics.

Accidents on board ships and in ports and/or naval facilities.
Material showing the names and pennant numbers of warships.
Appearance of naval officers of any rank especially if their names are also mentioned.
Programmes which show any naval hardware ashore or afloat.
(2) Ground
(a) FSU/CIS Ground Forces exercises.

Film of troop withdrawals or reductions in forces of both FSU states and Eastern Europe. Interviews with military leaders.
Any major troop or equipment movement by road, rail or air.
We foresee a likely increase in cover of:
(i)
(ii)
(iii)
Military involvement in putting down civil unrest.
Changes in military doctrine and the rules on conscription.
Restructuring and re-shaping of FSU Forces, eg withdrawal of Tank Divisions from Czechoslovakia.
(3) Air
For FSU and Eastern European countries:

Military air activity including development and aircraft.
