It won't surprise you to know that my postbag is not exactly filled with letters regarding Hong Kong! I have, in fact, had three, one of which, from my constituent Mr H G Maule, is the only communication I have had from my constituency and I would be grateful for a response to his letter.

Of the other two letters, one, was a copy of a letter sent to you, which you probably have not seen, and comes from Elsie Tu, a Councillor and Member of the Urban and Legislative Councils in Hong Kong. She is someone I have known for donkey's years. In my view, Elsie is more in touch with ordinary people in Hong Kong than many of the people we see and hear as purporting to represent the views of Hong Kong people.
