Hosokawa arrived in the early afternoon of 6 November and left at 12.00 the following day after a two-and-a-half hour restricted session with President Kim Young-sam, a private dinner and breakfast in the company of their wives and close officials, a press conference and one-hour's sightseeing in the neighbourhood of the conference hotel at the ancient capital city of Kyongju.
