Disappointing that there was so little progress at last week's JLG meeting in London. There is a lot of business piling up.

Joint Declaration commits both Governments to closer co-operation in the JLG in the second half of the transition period.

Much of the JLG's agenda is technical or legal. But it is important that it should be completed on time, in the

interests of individuals and businesses in Hong Kong.
