SIR S K TANG BEQUEST

Thank you for your letter of 25 August undertaking to consider our proposals for the British Council's involvement in the future administration of the Sir S K Tang Bequest. You said you hoped to be in a position to reply in October.

We are anxious to start work on the administrative arrangements in time for the 1994/5 review of the UK/Hong Kong Scholarships programme to which the two-thirds of the Sir S K Tang interest is currently applied. I would therefore be grateful for an early reply.
