Dr Tsang has been invited to Britain as a guest of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Overseas Visitors Section of Information Department is arranging his programme.
He
Dr Tsang, aged 43, has held his present position since 1989. gained a BA from the University of Hong Kong in 1973, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1978. He gained an MA in Economics in 1982 and his doctorate in 1990 from the University of Manchester.
During his visit Dr Tsang is interested in discussing both the trade and investment relations between the UK, China, and Hong Kong, and the political and economic future of Hong Kong from the British perspective. He is also keen to look at UK competition
policy and practice.
In the course of his visit Dr Tsang will be meeting
representatives of government departments, academic, financial and economic institutions, business executives and members of parliament.
He will be accompanied to his appointments by a representative of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
