THE JARDINE FOUNDATION

I thought that you might be interested to see a copy of the Register which has been compiled to mark the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Jardine Foundation as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations in 1982.

The scholarships are open to candidates from any country in which we have an office, and over the last ten years we have made thirty-eight awards, almost all for study at Oxford or Cambridge; as you will see, the majority of our scholars are from Hong Kong.

We have been very pleased with the progress of the Foundation so far and we believe that the time these young people spend in England is a particularly good investment in strengthening the close links with their home countries for the future.
