The JFS was established in 1983 as a jointly

funded means-tested scheme to cover the difference between 'home' and 'overseas' fees payable by Hong Kong students studying in UK. The review of the scheme has

been completed. An announcement on the future of the

scheme will be made after consulting HMG.

Our decision on the future of the Scheme will, of

course, take full account of the interests of students now studying in the UK.
