UK/HK Governments Joint Funding Scheme

The 1994-95 application exercise in respect of the captioned scheme has been finalized. The total expenditure in grants amounted to GBP 1,756,823 shared by both the UK and the HK Governments, which represented a significant drop as compared to the original estimate. Please see at Annex a brief summary of the result of the exercise.
I would like to inform you that the total requirement in grants for the 1995- 96 application exercise has been estimated to be equal to GBP 1,227,000, calculated as follows:
