WSTV are grateful for your interest (and for your appreciation of the sensitivity of this issue) and will certainly welcome any information you can glean which could be of help to them in shaping their tactics. They would however discourage an immediate official call on Star as they think it risks giving the wrong message to the new management and being taken as an indication of high BBC anxiety. They want to keep a complete poker face for the present. We shall advise further in the light of any developments aver the next few days (we gather Murdoch is to make a statement over the weekend).
