A6. Lu Ping told a Hong Kong Women's delegation that the question of the single vote single seat system for the 1995 LegCo elections had not yet been discussed but could be discussed further. He added that the Chinese side had
however said it opposed the single vote single seat system but the question of arrangements for LegCo should be put aside or considered as a whole, whereas the questions of
District Boards and Municipal Councils should be solved
first and ample time would be left for discussions on questions concerning LegCo (TKP 28 November).
A7. Speaking to a Hong Kong Motion Picture Industry
Association delegation, Lu Ping said that if electoral arrangements were to be discussed by LegCo there would be nothing for the two sides to discuss (HK press 30 Nov).

Speaking to a group of Wanchai District Board Members led by Peggy Lam, Wang Qiren of the HKMAO said that the
British side had mixed difficult issues with easier ones;
when an agreement was about to be reached on arrangements
for District Board and Municipal Council elections, the
British side had insisted on inserting the LegCo election
method into the discussion (WWP 30 November).
