(a) The vulnerable element in any JM departure
plans would be Hong Kong Land. JM could only
realise its value by selling its shareholding
(or Land's assets) to third parties.
(b) The CPG could warn PRC-related companies and
major Hong Kong entrepreneurs not to purchase
Hong Kong Land assets or shares. As a result,
their prices would tumble.
