If the courts or the authorities of one State so request
connection with contraventions of customs laws brought before
them, the Customs authority of the requested State may authorise
its officials to appear as witnesses or experts before those
or authorities. Such officials will give evidence regarding facts established by them in the course of their duties,
and produce such files, documents ΟΙ other materials, or
authenticated copies thereof, as may be considered the proceedings.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR VISITING OFFICIALS
Paragraph 14
When, in the circumstances provided for by this Memorandum,
officials of the Customs authority of one State are present in the
territory of the other State, they must at all times be able to
furnish proof of their official capacity. They will, while there,
enjoy the protection accorded to Customs officials of that other State, in accordance with the laws in force there. They must not be in uniform nor carry arms.
USE OF INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS

Information; communications and documents obtained will be
used solely for the purposes of this Memorandum, except in cases
where:
(a) the Customs authority of one of the States is
required under its customs laws to inform either the
competent authorities in any other country or the
Administration of a Customs Union, or both, of contraventions or suspected contraventions; or
