CUSTOMS CONVENTION ON THE ATA CARNET FOR THE TEMPORARY ADMISSION OF GOODS

1. I enclose a letter we have received from Mr C C Leung who has written on behalf of the Secretary for Trade and Industry, Hong Kong.

The letter concerns the Customs Convention on the ATA Carnet for Temporary Admission of Goods and seeks our advice on the rationale behind the UK's reservation in respect of the acceptance of ATA carnets for postal traffic.
