It is my pleasure to enclose herewith a statistical datacard on service industries in Hong Kong, produced by the Statistics Committee of the Hong Kong Coalition of Service Industries.

The development of better statistics on service industries has been a long felt need, not only in Hong Kong but worldwide. We hope this Statistical Card will enhance a better understanding of Hong Kong's service economy. The Coalition will continue our efforts to develop and produce comprehensive and up-to-date statistical information on the Services sectors.
