1. The Governor of Hong Kong will be visiting London on 29-30 July, before taking leave. He has asked to see the

Secretary of State. Mr Patten has indicated that the best time for him would be either the morning of Thursday 29 July or the morning of Friday 30 July. I understand from the Diary Secretary that there is a 45 minute slot free at 0900 on Thursday 29 July.
