Thank you for your letter of 27 August to Douglas Hurd, enclosing the report by Sir Anthony Durant of the CPA UK Branch delegation's recent visit to Hong Kong and requesting a meeting between the group and Chris Patten at the earliest opportunity. I am replying as Minister responsible for Hong Kong.
The Governor will be visiting the UK in November and would be pleased to meet the members of the delegation then. We will contact you with a firm date nearer the time.
