ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT
1. Attached is a list of the Governor's engagements during his visit (2-16 April).
2. When in the FCO the Governor will be using room WH222 (tel 270 3854). The Office keeper in charge of this room is Mrs Joyce Church, HESD, 270 3239.
3. I have made arrangements for the Governor's car to use the King Charles Street entrance when the Governor has appointments in the FCO. A parking space is being provided in the main quadrangle on 5,6,8,13,15 and 16 April. If any problems arise with parking please contact Steve Papworth, Security Department, 270 3001. On 13 April the Governor has a meeting at 1230 with Sir R braithwaite in 10 Downing Street, followed by lunch with the Prime Minister. Access to Downing Street will be through the FCO quadrangle. I have alerted the No10 police who say they will open the gate. I would be grateful if Mr Sheldon would double-check on the morning of 13 April that the gate will be open as I will be on leave. No 10 police can be reached on 071 321 7262. The Governor will be travelling in a dark blue Mercedes, registration number: H514 YYN.
3. Should there be any protocol queries concerned with the Governor's audience with the Queen on 14 April please contact Tricia Fletcher, Royal Matters Unit, 210 6363. In case of an emergency Sir R Fellowes secretary, Ms Deborah Bean may be contacted on 071 930 4832.
