REQUEST FOR A CALL ON THE SECRETARY OF STATE BY CH TUNG,

HONG KONG GOVERNMENT EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

1. Mr C H Tung, a new member of the Hong Kong Government

Executive Council will be in London from 10 to 12 March and

has asked for a call on the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State's diary is full on 11 and 12 March. but a call may

be possible on 10 March.

2. Mr Tung has good contacts in Peking and the Governor

recommends that the Secretary of State should see him if he

can.
