annually $14,000 to the Commonwealth Institute. A

permanent centre is maintained in the Institute to

publicise Hong Kong by means of displays and the dissemination of information.

1997. We also note. that the question as to whether Hong Kong could have a continuing link, in some alternative form, with the CPA would depend on the rules of the CPA and the decision of the future

SARG/legislature having regard to Chinese views.

The Director of Audit attends the triennial Conference of Commonwealth Auditors General as a member of the UK delegation.

Links with certain countries will be

continuation of training

programme with the

National Audit Offices of the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
