COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION (CPA): 1994 (43RD) PARLIAMENTARY SEMINAR AND VISIT
1.
Thank you to those who responded to-tan Reuter's minute
of 28 October.
!
2. I attended the CPA UK Branch's sub-committee meeting on 3 November, to allocate places for their 1994 Seminar (8 - 19 March) and Visit (4 - 20 May) and made our views known. I attach a copy of the revised allocation of places. Those who asked CCD to lobby strongly on behalf of certain countries (ie St Kitts, Turks & Caicos, Vanuatu as opposed to the Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, Guyana, other Malaysian States) should be aware that the UK Branch can only consider those CPA Branches in other countries who bid for places on the annual Seminar and Visit. Applications have not been received from the CPA Branches in the countries/States mentioned above and they have therefore not been considered. It is of course open to us, through any contact we might have with the CPA Branches in question, to suggest to them that they might like to contact the UK Branch to apply for a place(s) on the 1995 Seminar or Visit.
