The provisions referred to in paragraph 5 will come into

operation upon publication of the draft Additional

Instructions, if made, in the Hong Kong Gazette. The

amendments to Clause XIIA of the principal Instructions

relating to the date of elections, electoral laws and voting

(Clause 2(a)(ii) and (iii) and (b)(ii) and (c) of the draft

Additional Instructions) also come into operation on the day of

gazettal. All other provisions come into operation on the

appointed day which is the day or first day for the holding of

elections in 1995.
