colleagues accompanying him are the Deputy Chairman of ADPL, Mr Leung Kwong-cheong, a District Board Chairman, Mr Daniel Wong, an Urban Councillor and Mr Kwang Fu-sam, a District Board member. The same delegation visited Peking in the first week of May, where they had meetings with Director Lu Ping and Deputy

Director, Chen Zuo'er, of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office. The contents of these discussions were reported in the Hong Kong press (see separate briefs for specific points that may arise). We have had a readout of this visit from Mr Paul of

Government (eg on airport funding).

During their visit to London (18-21 May) the delegation will

also be meeting Sir David Steel, Messers Jack Cunningham and

Allan Rogers, Mr Tim Renton and, possibly, Dr Jeremy Bray. They are giving a press conference at the Foreign Press Association immediately after their meeting with the Secretary of State.
