election or an adjournment of a
poll under section 26A(1) of the
Ordinance shall be by a notice by
the Governor published in the
Gazette or if such publication is
not practicable in the
circumstances, by the publication
of a notice by him (substituted
notice) by some other means.
(2) The appointment of a date
for the purposes of section 26A (2)
of the Ordinance shall be made
either in the notice or substituted
notice postponing the election or
adjourning the poll as the case may
be and referred to in subsection
(1) or in some other notice by the
Governor published in the Gazette
as soon as practicable thereafter,
or if such latter notice is not
practicable in the circumstances,
by the publication of a notice by
him by some other means.
(3) Where the poll at polling
stations is adjourned pursuant to a
declaration by the Governor under
section 26(1) of the Ordinance,
regulations 36C(4), (5) and (6)
