Procedure for postponement or adjournment by Governor

(1) A postponement of an

election or an adjournment of a

poll under section 26A (1) of the

Ordinance shall be by a notice by

the Governor published in the Gazette or if such publication is

not practicable in the

circumstances, by the publication of a notice by him (substituted

notice) by some other means.

(2) The appointment of a

date for the purposes of section 26A(2) of the Ordinance shall be

made either in the notice or
