and in force at the commencement of section 7, shall continue in force and have effect as if made under the Legislative Council (Electoral Provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 381), the Electoral Provisions Ordinance (Cap. 367) or this Ordinance as may be appropriate, by the authority who, having regard to the subject-matter of such regulation, is empowered on and after the commencement of section 7 to make such regulation and may be repealed or amended by such authority,
26. Consequential and other amendments
The enactments specified in Schedule 2 are amended to the extent and in the manner specified in that Schedule in relation to each such enactment.

26. 相應及其他修訂
附表2所指明的文法則,按附表就各成文法則而指明的範圍及方式修訂。
SCHEDULE I
PROVISIONS AS RESPECTS THE COMMISSION
1. (1) The Chairman or other member shall, subject to this section-
(a) - hold and vacate office in accordance with his terms of appointment; and (b) on ceasing to hold office, be eligible for reappointment.

(2) The Chairman or other member may at any time resign his office by notice in writing to the Governor, and the resignation shall take effect-
(a) from the date specified in the notice or on receipt of the notice by the Governor,
whichever is later; or
(b) if no date is specified, on receipt of the notice by the Governor.
(3) If the Chairman or other member
(a) is absent from Hong Kong for more than 6 months consecutively; or
(b) is in the opinion of the Governor-
(i) incapacitated due to physical or mental illness; or
(ii) otherwise unable or unfit to discharge the functions of his office,
the Governor may by notice in writing to him remove him from office as the Chairman or other member as the case may be.
(4) Where the office of the Chairman or other member becomes vacant, the Governor shall, by notice published in the Gazette, appoint another person in his place for a period specified by the Governor at the time of appointment.
(5) If the Chairman or other member, due to absence from Hong Kong or any other reason, is unable to perform the functions of his office as Chairman or other member for any period, the Governor may appoint another person to act in the place of the Chairman or the member, as the case may be, for that period.
(6) Section 3(5) and (8) of this Ordinance shall apply to an appointment or reappointment under subsection (1) or (4) and section 3(5) of this Ordinance shall apply to an appointment under subsection (5).
(7) Where the Chairman or other member-
(a) resigns from office the Governor shall give notice in the Gazette of the resignation as soon as practicable after receipt by the Governor of the relevant notice under subsection (2);
(b) ceases to hold office due to disqualification or removal the Governor shall give notice
thereof in the Gazette as soon as practicable.
2. (1) Subject to subsection (2), meetings of the Commission shall be held at such times and places as may be determined by the Chairman.
(2) The Commission shall hold a meeting at least once every 12 months.
At any meeting of the Commission the Chairman and I member shall form a quorum.

【第2及3條〕
與委員會有關的條文
1. (1) 除本條另有規定外,主席或其他委員須
(a) 按照其委任條款出任及辭去其職位:及
(b) 在停任其職位後,具有再獲委任的資格。
(2) 主席或其他委員可隨時以書面通知向總督辭職,而其辭職須於以下日期生效
(2) 該通知上指明的日期或總督收到該通知的日期,以較後者為準;或
(6) 如並無指明日期,則指總督收到該通知的日期。
(3) 如主席或其他委員——
(a) 連續超過6個月不在香港;或
(b) 被總督認為是——
(i)因身體或精神方面的疾病而喪失辦事能力;或
(ii) 在其他情况下不能夠或不適宜履行其職位的職能, 則總督可豬書面通知,將該主席或其他委員(視屬何情況而定)免任。
(4) 凡主席或其他委員的職位出現空缺,則總督可藉憲報刊登的公告委任另一人代替,而其 任期則由總督在委任時指明·
(5) 如主席或其他委員由於不在香港或任何其他原因,以致不能夠難行其作為主席或其他委 日的職能,則總督可委任另一人在該段期間暫代該主席或委員(視屬何情況而定)。
(6) 本條例第3(5)及(8)條適用於根據第(1)或(4)款作出的委任或再委任,而本條例第3(5)燚 則適用於根據第(5)款作出的委任。
(7) 凡主席或其他委員-
(a) 辭職,則線幣在收到根據第(2)款提交的有關通知後,須在切實可行的範圍內,盡快
在憲報刊登其辭職的公告;
(b) 因喪失資格或被線督免任而停止擔任主席或委員,則總督須在切實可行的範圍內,
盡快在憲報刊登其停任的公告。
2. (1) 在符合第(2)款的規定下,委員會的會議須在主席決定的時間及地點舉行•
(2) 委員會每12個月須至少舉行一次會議。
(3) 在委員會的任何會議中,主席及其中1名委員即組成法定人數。
