"(a)

in the case of the election

committee constituency, has

ceased to be an eligible person

by reason of that person having

ceased to be a person specified

in the second column of Schedule

1; or"; and

in paragraph (b), by repealing "third

column of the Second Schedule" and

substituting "second column of Schedule 2";

and

(b)

by adding

"(1A)

Subsection (1)(b) shall not apply in

the case of any functional constituency

specified in items 21 to 29 of Part II of

Schedule 2."

Qualification for nomination as

a candidate

Section 20 (1) is amended

(a) by adding

(b)

" (a)

in the case of the election committee

constituency, he is entitled to be and is

registered as an elector under the

Electoral Provisions Ordinance (Cap.

367);"; and

by repealing paragraph (b)(i) and substituting

"(i) he

(A) is registered as an elector in that

constituency; or
