That we should plan for two rounds before the end of

June, with a break to enable you both to return for 1 July and

then (if necessary) for us to prepare for a Secretary of State

visit to Peking on 9 July: and two further rounds in July, one

as soon as possible after a Secretary of State visit, and one

(as Sir R McLaren suggests) probably in the week of 19 July.

5. On this basis, Ricketts is planning to come out for the

round on 14-16 June Carriving Peking on BA39 on 13 June). But

he would miss a round in the following week so as to be here to

prepare paperwork for OPD (K).
