I understand that the Foreign Affairs Select Committee has decided in principle to establish a new enquiry into Hong Kong.

I do not know whether it is the intention for any peers to be invited to join this committee of enquiry but, should this be the case, I would like to offer myself. As you know, I am one of only three peers resident in Hong Kong and my specialised knowledge of the territory could be useful to the committee.
